Oh Boy!

I had every intention of marking our 300th post with something memorable.  Unfortunately I've had my hands full with the wee one recently, and last week I posted without checking the count. So here we are at #302.  Impressive, right?  Jason has been traveling a lot recently for work so I spend my days and nights running around making sure Chase is staying out of trouble.   He doesn't walk anywhere anymore.  Ever.  Full out run is more like it.   His name seriously couldn't be more appropriate. Oh yea, and he now can get himself up on every piece of furniture in our house.

Trouble
I can't remember if I posted this little anecdote-if I did, I apologize for repeating myself, just like my mom:)  Anyway, while Chase was playing in the family room the other day I ran into the dining room to get something.  One room away, he was out of my sight for no more than 20 seconds.  In that matter of moments he had gotten on the couch, and climbed through the pass-through onto the kitchen counter.  I walked into the kitchen to find the little devil on the counter on all fours grinning from ear-to-ear.  Clearly I can't leave him alone anymore, even if its for a split second.  He truly is that fast.

Our old church pew was a new adventure
Hi there
Mommy, you really need to dust

What? I can't stand up and look out the window?
Hide and Seek
Here I am
Yesterday he also refined his fine motor skills and figured out how to open small containers. Luckily the mess was contained to a plastic bin.   Aargh, what house has no medicine cabinets?  He normally happily plays with random toiletries while I'm getting ready. I'm always watching him, and he likes to play with the cotton balls, hair ties, and random stocking stuffers we've accumulated over the years.  I happen to keep these items in the bottom drawer in our bathroom. No longer an option...

I'd love to meet the mom that can dry her hair(completely) and get ready uninterrupted, with a toddler constantly saying "Up please" or trying to unroll thousands of sheets of toilet paper.  Since I don't dry my hair all the way Chase then loves to grab my hair and say "wet" over and over again, and tell me that his hair is "dry".   You are right buddy, this is why your momma doesn't even attempt to purchase a flat iron."

Talking to Dadda via Skype.  Chase tells him about all the ornery things he does during the day!
Sorry guys-this post is being cut short, Jas is calling and its time to give him Chaser's daily update!

Scrub a Dub

Wild Man

Yesterday swimming was canceled, and I had off work.  I desperately needed to get Chase out of the house.  Despite the chill, we bundled up and headed to Little Adventures.  It was our first visit.  This place seriously rocks.  Especially since I had a Living Social deal for 10 play sessions for $27!  No kids over six allowed.  It has tons of climbing equipment, toys, a dance party/bubble room, and play house area.  It also has an organic cafe that serves hummus and guacamole.  Two of Chase's favorites!  The best part...it was really clean.  The staff were cleaning the whole time we were there!  I had a hard time juggling the camera and chasing him around.  So these shots are kind of lousy(by my standards).  I kept trying to get a picture of him laying in the ball pit surrounded by balls.  Yeah right!  He didn't stay still for more than five seconds.  He seriously squealed as he ran from one part of the building to another.  Definitely going to have his birthday party here next year!

How does this thing work?

Taking a mini break

Saying Tuuube

Fishing.  They had lots of awesome toys.
I worked hard not to get the other kids in the shots.  I didn't want any upset parents.

And he's off!

Oh no...a doorbell.  Ringing it over and over again!

Grilling up some burgers

Calling Daddy while washing dishes
"Chase did you have fun at the play place today?"
"You betcha Momma!"

My Happy Man

Surprise Shower

Somehow I managed to spend most of the day Saturday with Cindy, and not accidentally slip about her surprise baby shower the next day.  She figured it out when she saw the cars in the parking lot, but otherwise says she had no clue.  They've decided to be surprised, so she got lots of duck and giraffe items.  So cute!! I of course had to make sure Sophie the Giraffe was included in our gift.  Seriously the most expensive teething toy, but well worth it.  Chase was a huge fan.

Surprise!  Her niece Cara and nephew Joey helped with the festivities

Showing off the cutest belly ever!

Baby essentials in a diaper bag.  You can't beat this gift.

I told her I'll be borrowing this picnic table for the next year

Our table mates thought we were sisters.

Sure I'll volunteer to change a stuffed animal's diaper while blindfolded.  How hard can it be?

I LOVE THIS PICTURE!!  ME, CINDY, ERICA AND KRISTIN
I've invited Adam and Cindy over to raid our attic.  We've told them to help themselves to whatever baby gear they didn't get at the shower, and want/need.  We won't be using the infant seat, bases, or snap-n-go anytime soon!  Can't wait til June to meet the newest addition to Chase's NJ playmates:)

Future Pro?

Chase has been to the driving range, but this was his first trip to the putting green with Uncle Chris.  They randomly had matching outfits, which was hilarious.  He still swings the club like a hockey stick just like Daddy, but he is making progress.  Future Bubba?(Watson for those of you non-golf followers)

By the way, Chris is now available to teach lessons.  If anyone is interested:)

Ultimate Fans

My two boys.  We live and breathe hockey this time of year.

Playoffs Game 3

We were fortunate enough to get tickets to Sunday's Flyers vs. Penguins playoff game.  It was wild!  I figured it would be a good idea to finish this post before tonight's game 4.  Hopefully the Flyers can finish out the series, and won't need to head back to Pittsburgh.  I've been to quite a few games over the years, not nearly as many as Jas and Z, but this was the best game I've ever attended!

If you follow hockey you know this game was crazy; full of fights, insane penalty minutes and a few ejections.  The Broadstreet Bullies and Philly fans were in fine form.  The Pens however, were the ones with ridiculously cheap shots, and ended up falling apart at the end of the game. We won 8-4! 32 goals so far this series.  Seriously unheard of!

Jas loathes the Penguins, especially Sid the kid. Crosby was in full child mode on Sunday.  Can't believe he's actually the captain, and his behavior during the game was appalling.   I managed to get lots of fight photos 100+, and even caught Sidney instigating with Hartnell(his back was turned) at the end of the game, and then proceeding to bow out of the fight since he was in over his head.  If you don't follow the Flyers, just enjoy the pictures:)

New Photo Grid setup!

Warmups

My biggest pet peeve.  Learn to freaking spell!

Full chicken suit with a Crosby jersey

Fight Time

Penalty #1 for Sid.  Fans were going crazy!

Philly fans love to trash talk

Cheap shot

"Wait, Hartnell is alot bigger than me.  I also can't afford another concussion.  Help!!"

To the rescue
One of many, many side fights

Crosby was still running his mouth
Hartnell amping up the crowd as he leaves the ice

Three Penguins were suspended for tonight's game for their atrocious behavior.  Good, maybe their disadvantage will mean a sweep for us!  Go FLYERS!!
