I had every intention of marking our 300th post with something memorable. Unfortunately I've had my hands full with the wee one recently, and last week I posted without checking the count. So here we are at #302. Impressive, right? Jason has been traveling a lot recently for work so I spend my days and nights running around making sure Chase is staying out of trouble. He doesn't walk anywhere anymore. Ever. Full out run is more like it. His name seriously couldn't be more appropriate. Oh yea, and he now can get himself up on every piece of furniture in our house.

Trouble |
I can't remember if I posted this little anecdote-if I did, I apologize for repeating myself, just like my mom:) Anyway, while Chase was playing in the family room the other day I ran into the dining room to get something. One room away, he was out of my sight for no more than 20 seconds. In that matter of moments he had gotten on the couch, and climbed through the pass-through onto the kitchen counter. I walked into the kitchen to find the little devil on the counter on all fours grinning from ear-to-ear. Clearly I can't leave him alone anymore, even if its for a split second. He truly is that fast.

Yesterday he also refined his fine motor skills and figured out how to open small containers. Luckily the mess was contained to a plastic bin. Aargh, what house has no medicine cabinets? He normally happily plays with random toiletries while I'm getting ready. I'm always watching him, and he likes to play with the cotton balls, hair ties, and random stocking stuffers we've accumulated over the years. I happen to keep these items in the bottom drawer in our bathroom. No longer an option...
I'd love to meet the mom that can dry her hair(completely) and get ready uninterrupted, with a toddler constantly saying "Up please" or trying to unroll thousands of sheets of toilet paper. Since I don't dry my hair all the way Chase then loves to grab my hair and say "wet" over and over again, and tell me that his hair is "dry". You are right buddy, this is why your momma doesn't even attempt to purchase a flat iron."

Talking to Dadda via Skype. Chase tells him about all the ornery things he does during the day! |
Sorry guys-this post is being cut short, Jas is calling and its time to give him Chaser's daily update!
