Summer is a little confused with all the commotion
In a few short days Chase will be coming home! We still don't have a date set in stone, but Thursday will be day five off of oxygen with feeds. I took his car seat in the morning, and he'll have to sit in it for over an hour with no bradys and without desats lasting more than 20 seconds to pass the test. We still have to get the script to pick up his meds, and make an appointment to see the pediatrician. He has to see the doc two days after discharge. We also might have a nurse come to the house this weekend, but I haven't heard any details yet.
Tomorrow is also my last day at work so I have a boatload of stuff to do, but then I'll be able to take a little time to meet with the docs and get a few more things ready at home.
Everyone keeps asking what we're going to do when we get home with him, and when we both have some time off of work. Honestly, we just want to enjoy being a family. No driving, no scrubbing in, and sorry to say for a little bit-no visitors. We'll gladly take being sleep deprived at home over going back and forth to the hospital any day.
This is absolutely wonderful...I am so happy for you all!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I think we have the same crib!! HAHAHA
ReplyDeleteAngela told me the news when I talked to her yesterday and even Ron B. said something when I saw him today. We are so excited that Chase is going to be able to come home soon. I can't wait to meet the little guy!
